TRACK & FIELD WRAPS UP DAY ONE AT NCAA EAST REGIONAL
GREENSBORO, N.C. - Graduate
student Jeff Kaste (Atkinson, N.H.), and seniors
Paul DeTurk (Durham, N.H.) and Erica
Jesseman (Scarborough, Maine) all competed for the
University of New Hampshire outdoor track & field team on the
first day of the NCAA East Regional at North Carolina A&T State
University's Irwin Bell Track on Thursday.
In the men's hammer throw, Kaste and DeTurk placed 29th and 37th,
respectively, with marks of 56.86 meters and 54.19m.
Jesseman finished 28th in the women's 10,000m in a time of
36:20.97.
The Wildcats return to action Friday for day two of the NCAA East
Regional. Senior Ashlee Lathrop (Sherburne, N.Y.)
kicks things off at 11 a.m. in the women's hammer throw. Senior
Brice Paey (Milton, N.H.) tosses the men's shot
put at 3 p.m., while classmate Rita Ciambra
(Hanover, N.H.) competes in the women's pole vault at 4 p.m. Senior
Matt O'Connor (Rhinebeck, N.Y.) wraps things up at
8:30 p.m. when he runs in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Links to
