CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – University of New Hampshire men's indoor track & field athletes Josh Kearns (Ridgefield, Conn.) and Cameron Lyle (Plaistow, N.H.), as well as women's athlete Kaitlin Kwiecien (Hampstead, N.H.), all garnered weekly America East awards for the week ending Dec. 12, the conference announced Tuesday.
Kearns was named the Male Track Performer of the Week as he won an individual event and a team event to lead the Wildcats to a 102-85 win against America East foe Maine on Saturday. The senior finished first in the 1,000 meters in a time of 2:29.97. Kearns also ran the second leg for the 4x800-meter relay team that was victorious in a time of 7:56.50.
