Men's Track & Field Hosts Wildcat Invitational II

DURHAM, N.H. – Seniors Brice Paey (Milton, N.H.) and Tyler Dinnan (Juneau, Alaska) both won events as the University of New Hampshire men's track & field team hosted the Wildcat Invitational II on Saturday at the Reggie F. Atkins Track & Field Facility.

The University of Maine, Vermont, Dartmouth, UMass-Amherst, UMass-Lowell, Central Connecticut State, Connecticut and New England College also took part in the non-scoring meet.

Paey was victorious in the shot put with an IC4A-qualifying toss of 55-06.25, while junior Cameron Lyle (Plaistow, N.H.) was third in the event at 46-10.75.

On the track, Dinnan won the 1,500 meters, crossing the finish line in a time of 3:59.31.

The Wildcats' 4x400 meter relay team of freshmen Isaiah Penn (Boston, Mass.), Nicholas Sullivan (Newport, N.H.) and Andrew Albin and senior Sean Mitchell (Milford, Mass.) finished first in a time of 3:23.75.

Freshman D'mahl McFadden (Penacook, N.H.) was third in the 110-meter hurdles, finishing in a time of 15.02, while freshman James Anderson (Melrose, Mass.) was third in the 800 meters at 1:57.96.

Back in the field, junior Matthew Guarente (Saugus, Mass.) was second in the high jump with a cleared height of 6-04.25, while junior George Jumpp (Manchester, N.H.) added a second-place finish in the hammer throw with a toss of 170-03.

Sophomore Jessie Swink (Groton, Conn.) was third in the javelin with a toss of 174-11.

The Wildcats return to action on May 5-6 for the America East Outdoor Championships at the University of Maine's Beckett Track & Field Complex.
