MEN'S XC PLACES NINTH OVERALL AT ICAAAA'S

NEW YORK –
The University of New Hampshire men’s cross country team amassed 239 points en route to finishing in ninth place at the ICAAA’S held at Van Cortland Park, with the College of William Mary posting 45 points to capture the championship.
            The New Hampshire squad was the lone America East represenetive as Wildcat graduate student Matthew Russell (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) led a trio of Wildcats who all received top-50 honors. Russell’s time of 25:47 was good enough for a team-best 20th overall place. UNH sophomore harrier Brent Powers (Remsden, N.Y.) followed in a time of 26:11 to capture 43rd place. Andrew Van Hoogenstyn (Scarborough, Maine) delivered a 48th place (26:20), while senior Andrew Lawson (Holland-Patent, N.Y) rounded out the top 70 places with a time of 26:32.
            The Wildcats cap off yet another successful season with a top-10 finish in an extremely competitive ICAA race along with the season highlight of a fourth America East Championship in the last six seasons led by head coach Jim Boulanger.
