MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PLACES SEVENTH AT NEW ENGLANDS
COMPLETE RESULTS

    BOSTON – The University of New Hampshire men’s cross country team posted 221 points en route to a seventh place finish at the New England Championships on Saturday at Franklin Park in Boston, Massachusetts.
    Wildcat harrier Matthew Russell (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) was the first to cross the finish line for UNH with an impressive time of 25 minutes, 11 seconds to finish 13th overall out of 307 runners. Junior Benjamin Danton (New Milford, Conn.) notched a 25th place effort (25:20), while teammate Andrew Van Hoogenstyn (Scarborough, Maine) recorded a 34th place finish (25:28). The Wildcats placed six of their seven runners into the top 100.
    The University of Massachusetts finished the day with 76 points to capture the New England Championship. Boston College was second with 145 points and in third followed Brown University with 166.
    UNH returns to action next Saturday (Oct. 14) when they race in the prestigious Albany Invitational. The race will start at 11:00 a.m.
