MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PLACES 13TH AT NCAA NORTHEAST REGIONALS

Bronx, N.Y. – The University of New Hampshire men’s cross country team amassed 355 points as the harriers placed 13th overall at the NCAA Northeast Regional held at Van Cortland Park on Saturday afternoon.
    Iona College took home top honors with an impressive 59 points, well-ahead of second place Providence College, who notched 72 points. The Syracuse Orange registered a third place effort with 161 points, while Harvard and Colombia rounded out the top five with 161 and 182 points respectively.
    UNH graduate student Matthew Russell (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) crossed the line in 34th place as he raced to a time of 32 minutes, 55 seconds. America East runner-up and junior co-captain Jordan Horowitz (Evanston, Ill) notched a 69th place finish (33:43). Junior harrier Benjamin Danton (New Milford, Conn.) posted a 79th place (33:52) and sophomore Benjamin Jenkins (Francestown, N.H.) delivered an 82-place finish (34:01) for UNH.
    UNH is back in action on Saturday (Nov. 18) as they compete at the ICAAAA’S at Van Cortland Park. The race is set for 10:00 a.m.
