CROSS COUNTRY PROGRAMS ANNOUNCE 2007 FALL SCHEDULE

DURHAM, N.H. –
The University of New Hampshire cross country programs announced its 2007 cross country schedule on Monday, July 2.

Both programs open the 2007 campaign on Saturday (Sept. 1) by hosting Providence College and Boston College. UNH heads down to Stony Brook University the following week (Sept. 7) for a pre-conference meet. The Wildcats and University of Maine get set to battle in Orono on (Sept. 21) in their annual duel meet. UNH rounds out September at the Murray Keatinge Invitational in Orono on (Sept. 29). Both squads produced second place finishes at last season’s meet.The Wildcats enter October with a visit to Franklin Park in Boston to compete at New England Championships. UNH participates in the Albany Invitational on (Oct. 13) before competing for at the  America East Championships at Stony Brook (Oct. 27). UNH caps the championship season off in November. The NCAA regional qualifier (Nov. 10) takes place at Franklin Park. The Wildcats wrap up the season at the ICAAAA’s in Van Cortland Park in New York (Nov. 24)

The men’s cross country squad captured the 2006 America East Championships, defeating Stony Brook University by three points (58-61). The women’s program finished in second place at conference championships behind the Boston University Terriers.
