MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY COACHING STAFF HONORED BY AMERICA EAST
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The America East conference announced Wednesday that Jim Boulanger, head coach of the University of New Hampshire men’s cross country team, as well as his staff, was named 2007 America East Cross Country Coaching Staff of the Year. This marks the fifth time in his 23-year tenure at UNH that Boulanger has garnered the award.

The Wildcats won their second straight America East Championship, and fifth since 2001, on Oct. 27 in Stony Brook, N.Y. when their 35 points were enough to hold off Stony Brook University (37) and Boston University (85).

The Wildcats placed four runners in the top 10, including senior Robert Edgerton (Cornish, N.H.), junior Matthew O’Connor (Rhinebeck, N.Y.), senior Jordan Horwitz (Evanston, Ill.) and sophomore Joshua Kearns (Ridgefield, Conn.), who placed second, fourth, seventh and eighth, respectively.

After splitting their opening meet of the season, the ‘Cats have finished in first place at every meet they have raced in, except for the 43-team New England Championships in which they placed seventh.
The Wildcats return to action Thursday, Nov. 1 at the ICAAAA championships at Van Cortland Park in Van Cortland, N.Y.
