MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY FINISHES 29TH AT NCAA NORTHEAST REGIONAL

MADISON, Conn. – Sophomore Joseph Jourdain (Hudson, N.H.) and senior Andrew Dionne (Westerly, R.I.) were the top two finishers for the University of New Hampshire men's cross country team as it placed 29th at the 39-team NCAA Northeast Regional at Hammonasset Park.

The Wildcats tallied 778 points, while Syracuse University won the meet with 56 points.

Jourdain placed 136th and completed the 10-kilometer course in a time of 32 minutes, 42.9 seconds, while Dionne finished 142nd in a time of 32:49.6.

Sophomore Kent Harlow (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) placed 156th in a time of 33:07.4.

Senior Michael Peabody (Londonderry, N.H.) was 165th as he crossed the finish line at 33:18.2.

Sophomore Michael Ryan (Dallas, Pa.) rounded out the Wildcat scorers as he finished 179th in the 229-runner field in a time of 33:40.6.

The Wildcats return to action Saturday, Nov. 20 at the ECAC Championships at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y.
