DANEN, DOMANSKI TO MISS 2000-01 WITH INJURIES

DURHAM, N.H. - Junior forward Aubrey Danen and senior guard Adriane Domanski will miss the 2000-01 season for the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team due to injuries.

Danen, a junior forward from Oconomowoc, Wis., was forced to undergo shin surgery in the offseason and will redshirt the 2000-01 season and will have two years of eligibility remaining when she returns to the court next year. Danen ranked second on the team last season in both scoring (9.6 ppg) and rebounding (5.5 rpg) and was an America East All-Rookie selection in 1998-99.

Domanski, a senior from Lafayette Hills, Pa., was hampered by a back injury last season and after rehabilitation work this summer, she felt that it would be in her best interests to forego her senior season. Domanski was one of New Hampshire's top three-point threats, draining 46 treys last season.

The Wildcats will host a pair of exhibition games against the Netherlands National Team (November 7) and Nor'Easter Storm (November 13). The regular season kicks off when the 'Cats host Brown University at Lundholm Gymnasium on Friday, November 17 at 7 p.m.
