BOSTON, MASS-- Senoir co-captain Danielle Clark (Corinna, Maine) was named the America East Player of the Week for her outstanding efforts in UNH's recent 71-62 victory over Northeastern University in non-conference play at Lundholm Gymnasium on Dec. 19.
Clark earned her first player of the week honor of the season and her third all-time. The senior forward led the Wildcats to their second straight win with a 71-62 win over Northeastern. She posted a double double with 20 points and a season-high 13 rebounds. She currently ranks seventh in the league in scoring (12.6 ppg) and 10th in rebounding (5.7 rpg).
Clark, an 83 percent free throw shooter, also connected on nine of 12 shots from the charity stripe in the contest, sinking seven in the final six minutes to preserved the victory for the Wildcats.
She is now ranked 11th on UNH's all-time career scorer's listing with 1,043 career points
Clark and her teammates return to action on Thursday, Dec. 28 when the Wildcats take on Detroit Mercy in the first round of the Lady Luck Classic. Game time is 4:30 p.m.
