HEAD WOMEN'S BASKETBALL COACH KRISTIN COLE RESIGNS

DURHAM, N.H.— University of New Hampshire head women’s basketball coach Kristin Cole has resigned after leading the UNH women’s basketball program for three seasons. The announcement was made today by Director of Athletics Marty Scarano.

 Her resignation is effective immediately and there has not yet been a timetable set for the hiring of a replacement.

 Cole, who was the fifth head coach in the program’s 32-year history, was named to the position June 12, 2007.

 During her three seasons, Cole posted a 24-67 overall record and a 13-35 mark in America East play. During that period of time, she recorded a 1-3 mark in postseason play.
