CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior guard Kelsey Hogan (Nashua, N.H.) was named to the 2013-14 America East Preseason All-Conference Team, announced by the conference Tuesday morning.
The lone Wildcat representative, Hogan is the leading returner for the Wildcats in scoring this season, averaging 9.8 ppg in 2012-13. Powering UNH to its first conference semifinal appearance since 2005, the guard hit the game-winning trey as time expired to defeat Stony Brook in the quarterfinals, 49-46. Additionally, Hogan's 3-point buzzer beater was voted amongst the fans as the 2012-13 America East Moment of the Year. The senior captain logged in 32.9 minutes per game and dished out 73 assists last season, a team high.
In program history, Hogan ranks ninth in 3-point field goals (113) and 12th in assists (276).
The rest of the five-member team consists of Megan Craig and Shereesha Richards of Albany, Amber Bepko of Hartford and Sabre Proctor of Stony Brook.
On Wednesday, the conference will announce the preseason poll via the America East Twitter feed, starting at 10 a.m.
New Hampshire opens the 2013-14 season at Lundholm Gymnasium on Saturday, Nov. 9 (5 p.m.) against Worcester State.
