Zaban takes ECAC/Franklin Player of the Week Honors

DURHAM, N.H. - Senior forward Carisa Zaban (Glenview, Ill.) of the University of New Hampshire women's hockey team received ECAC/Franklin Player of the Week Honors Monday. Senior forwards Tina Carrabba (Billerica, Mass.) and Samantha Holmes (Mississauga, Ont.) and senior goaltender Alicia Roberts (North Muskegon, Mich.) were named to the ECAC Honor Roll.

In a weekend sweep of Mercyhurst, Zaban tallied three goals and four assists for seven points. In the season opener Friday, Zaban scored a short-handed goal which proved to be the game winner in the 6-0 shutout. Saturday, she added two goals and one assist in the 6-1 win.

Carrabba scored two goals in the win Friday, one of which was a power-play goal and assisted on two goals Saturday.

Holmes recorded a hat-trick and one assist Saturday to go along with one assist Friday for a five point weekend.

Roberts recorded her first shutout of the year Friday, making 11 saves.

The Wildcats host Concordia in an exhibition game Sunday, October 31 at 3 p.m.
