PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Nicole Hekle (Winnipeg, Manitoba) recorded a goal and an assist but the seventh-ranked University of New Hampshire women's ice hockey team was defeated by Brown University, 5-2, in Tuesday night's non-conference game at Meehan Auditorium.

UNH evened the score, 1-1, on Hekle's fourth power-play goal of the season at 12:07 of the opening stanza; Shannon Clement (Sault Ste. The Wildcats trimmed the deficit to 4-2 on a goal by Lindsay Hansen (Northport, N.Y.), with the assistance of Stephanie Jones (Kimberley, B.C.) and Hekle, 52 seconds into the final frame. Moos netted her second goal of the night at 7:59.
