DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of New Hampshire athletic department has announced that a Russell J. McCurdy Gallery dedication ceremony will be held Sunday, Dec. 10 at 1 p.m. at the Whittemore Center prior to the two o’clock women’s hockey game against intrastate Dartmouth College.
     The unveiling of the namesake will occur on the concourse level behind section 115, where the women's team photos and headshots are hung. Doors will open at 12:45 p.m. to accommodate the start of the ceremony.
     McCurdy, an inductee of the UNH Hall of Fame, guided the Wildcats to a 264-36-10 overall record for an .868 winning percentage in 15 seasons (1978-1992). The program went undefeated in the initial four seasons at 72-0-1. UNH won the EAIAW championship all four years of its existence (1980-83) and the 'Cats won four ECAC title under McCurdy's direction.
