Craig scored a power-play goal and recorded a game-high eight shots in UNH’s Frozen Four semifinal game, a 3-2 loss against the University of Minnesota-Duluth on March 20. Her 13th goal of the season lifted the Wildcats into a 2-2 tie late in the second period.
Garland, a senior defenseman, tallied an assist on Craig’s power-play goal that tied the game in the second stanza. Her strong play in the defensive zone helped limit UMD to a total of 15 shots – none in the second period.
UNH ended the season at 33-4-1 to tie the school benchmark for wins in a single season. The Wildcats advanced to the NCAA Women’s Ice Hockey Championship for the third consecutive year and to the Frozen Four for the second time in three years.
