Talbot, a senior attack, scored a game-high three goals in UNH’s 8-7 loss at Hofstra on Feb. 23. She gave the Wildcats a 1-0 lead – and recorded her 100th career point – with her first tally. With the Wildcats trailing 8-5 in the second half, Talbot pulled the team within 8-7 with tallies at 12:41 (on her only free-position shot of the game) and 4:23.
Hardy, a junior midfielder, tallied a team-high three caused turnovers, three ground balls and a goal in that game. She opened the second-half scoring at 26:30 to pull the ‘Cats even, 4-4. Earlier in the half, one of Hardy’s caused turnovers and ground balls directly led to UNH’s second goal, which leveled the score at 2.
In 54 career games, Talbot has 102 points on 79 goals and 23 assists. She is the Wildcats’ active leader in all three statistics.
UNH (0-1) plays two home games at Memorial Field this week. The home opener is Feb. 27 (3 p.m.) against College of the Holy Cross and the ‘Cats face intrastate rival Dartmouth College on March 2 (1 p.m.).
