New Hampshire women's soccer falls to Boston U., 3-0

BOSTON, Mass. - Boston University netted a pair of first-half goals and added another in the second half to record a 3-0 America East victory against the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team Thursday night.

UNH is now 2-7-0 overall and winless in two America East matches. BU improved to 5-4-0 and 3-0-0 with its third consecutive victory.

Diedre Enos opened the scoring in the 19th minute and Mary-Beth Magner increased the Terrier lead to 2-0 at 25:36. Teresa Petruccelli capped the scoring at 57:43.

New Hampshire senior goalkeeper Steph Springer (Solana Beach, Calif.) recorded 10 saves and allowed three goals in 80 minutes of action. Kristen Ouellette (Weatogue, Conn.) played the final 10 minutes and was credited with one save.

BU goalkeeper Danielle Demers stopped two shots.

New Hampshire plays game five of its seven-game road swing Sept. 30 (1 p.m.) against Northeastern University. The next home game is Oct. 13 (3 p.m.) vs. Vermont.
