BOSTON-- Debbie Newman (Union, Conn.) and Julie Randall (Steamboat Springs, Colo.) of the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team were selected to the All-Tournament Team following the conclusion of the 2005 America East Championship, which was held at Boston University.

Randall, a senior goalkeeper, allowed just two goals and made 15 saves in 200 minutes, 23 seconds of action to record a 0.90 goals-against-average and .882 save percentage in two tournament games. Randall registered eight saves to record her eighth shutout of the season and lift the 'Cats into the semifinals with a 1-0 win against the University of Vermont.

Newman, a senior back, anchored UNH's strong defensive effort in the postseason tournament as she had done during the regular season. Against top-seeded BU, Newman helped keep the game scoreless in the second half when she cleared the ball off the goal line on a dangerous shot from a corner kick.

UNH qualified for the America East Championship for the fifth consecutive year -- the league's longest active streak -- and advanced to the semifinals for the fourth straight time. The Wildcats were ousted from the tournament with a 2-1 overtime loss to BU to end the season at 9-8-2 overall.
