CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Freshman Kirstyn Corder (Overland Park, Kansas) of the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team received her second America East Rookie of the Week accolade Monday as announced by the conference.
Corder led the Wildcats to a 2-0-0 record on the week after defeating Holy Cross (2-1, OT) and UMBC (2-1) in their first conference match of the season. In the match at Holy Cross, the freshman midfielder notched the first goal of the game and assisted on the game-winning goal in overtime. While hosting UMBC, Corder secured the game winner on a penalty kick after being fouled in the box.
Corder currently leads the Wildcats in goals (4), assists (3) and points (11). She is tied for third in the conference in points, ranks fourth in points per game (1.10) and ranks in the top five in five additional offensive categories.
UNH is back in action on Thursday, Sept. 27 when they travel to Binghamton. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m.
