DURHAM, N.H. – Junior keeper Erica Correa (Cheshire, Conn.) of the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team was honored by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Thursday as she was named to the Academic All-America District 1 First Team.
Correa has been an integral part of the Wildcat women's soccer team between the pipes through her first three years at UNH. In 2012, Correa was named to the America East All-Academic Team in recognition of her tremendous success on-and-off the field. An accounting/finance major, the netminder has maintained a 3.89 grade point average as a student-athlete.
On the field, Correa started all 18 games she played while racking up a record of 5-11-2. She tallied three shutouts in 2012 to go along with her 1.43 goals against average and .755 save percentage. Correa ranked third in the America East in total saves (83), saves per game (4.61) and took the fourth spot in the shutout category.
