DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire women's swimming and diving team ranked seventh in the latest poll conducted by collegeswimming.com, released March 12. New Hampshire received 238.3 points, as determined by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). It is the highest rank New Hampshire has ever received.




DURHAM, N.H. - Senior Shannon Daly (Brightwaters, N.H.) and sophomore Kary Goodman (South Windham, Maine) of the University of New Hampshire women's swimming and diving team have been invited to compete at the 2006 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships to be held March 16-18 in Athens, Georgia at the University of Georgia.


PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Sophomore Kary Goodman (South Windham, Maine) of the University of New Hampshire was named Swimmer of the Year at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Open Swimming and Diving Championships, held at the University of Pittsburgh. Overall, New Hampshire placed sixth with 296 points. Marist College was the overall winner with a score of 535.5.


Shannon Daly, Goodman lead Wildcats to second straight conference title

BOSTON, Mass. - The University of New Hampshire women's swimming and diving team received 787 points and earned its second conference title in as many years at the 2006 America East Swimming and Diving Championship at Boston University's Aquatic Center Sunday evening.


New Hampshire earns eighth straight win of season

ORONO, Maine - Senior Shannon Daly (Brightwaters, N.Y.) and sophomore Shana Dege (Lockport, N.Y.) helped lead University of New Hampshire women's swimming and diving over the University of Maine as the Wildcats won their eighth straight dual meet of the year on February 2 at UMaine. Dege won both the 1-meter and 3-meter dive events for New Hampshire.


Durham, N.H. - Shannon Daly (Brightwaters, N.Y.) set a pool school record in the 200-breaststroke as the University of New Hampshire women's swimming and diving registered wins in 15 of its 16 events to defeat the University of Rhode Island, 182-103, Saturday afternoon at Swasey Pool.

DURHAM, N.H. - Deanna Petchonka (Ridgefield, Conn.) was the winner in the 100-yard butterfly and helped lead the way toward a first place finish in the 200 freestyle relay. The efforts were enough to garner a meet win over Colgate, 151.5-148.5. Petchonka was first in the 100 butterfly at 58.56 seconds and placed just ahead of teammate Ana Dowell (Phoenix, AZ) (58.67). Petchonka joined forces with Dowell, Katrina Maloney (Dover, N.H.) and Catie McDonough (Denville, N.J.) to take the win in the 200 freestyle relay, earning 11 points to win the meet.


DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire swimming and diving team defeated Binghamton University 141-94 Sunday afternoon at the Swasey pool, located in the Field House.


Boston, Mass. - The University of New Hampshire women's swim and dive team won their first meet of the year against America East member Boston University Saturday afternoon at BU's Fitness and Recreation Center.


DURHAM, N.H. — The University of New Hampshire women's swimming and diving team dropped its first meet of the year and its home opener to the University of Maryland-Baltimore County, 141-102.
