DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire's men's and women's swim and dive teams each received Academic All-American team honors as announced by the Collegiate Swimming Coaches Association of America.
The men's team posted a grade point average of 3.05 while the women averaged 3.26. All teams must have a combined GPA of 2.80 or higher to be considered. A total of 13 athletes were named to UNH's dean's list after the spring semester.
Senior Shannon Daly (Brightwaters, N.Y.) was elevated to Academic All-American status. Daly was invited to compete at the 2006 NCAA Championships, where she competed in the 200-breastroke and 200-individual medley. All athletes must post a GPA of 3.5 or higher for the spring semester and compete for the NCAA, NAIA or NJCAA championships or earn NCAA “B” times to be eligible for the individual status.
