UNH Incoming Swimmer Jennifer Roberts Competes in U.S. Olympic Trials

DURHAM, N.H. – Incoming transfer student-athlete Jennifer Roberts (Sanford, Maine) will represent the University of New Hampshire at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Maine native qualified for the Olympic Trials last summer while swimming for the Seacoast Swimming Association, a nationally recognized competitive swim team within the structure of USA Swimming. She will compete for spots in the 2012 London Olympics in the 200m IM and the 200m fly events.

Roberts comes to UNH for her junior year after spending two years with the University of Maryland. While with the Terps, Roberts was the squads' top competitor in the 200-yard IM and a top-five swimmer in five additional events. Roberts was also named an Honorable Mention All-American at the 2011-12 NCAA Championships.
