SOMERS, Wis. – The University of New Hampshire women's swimming & diving team was voted to the 16th spot in the country in the CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major Rankings, announced Thursday.
The Wildcats have started the 2012-13 season in perfect fashion, tallying a 6-0 record through their first six meets. Along the way, the team has tallied eight pool records and has garnered five America East Swimmer/Diver of the Week awards. They also have the top times in 11 of 17 events on the America East Swimming Championship performance list. Of the other schools in the America East Conference, New Hampshire is the only school to secure a spot in the top-25 rankings.
The Wildcats will return to the pool when they travel to Providence, R.I. to compete in the Brown Invitational at the Coleman Aquatic Center. The event runs from Friday, Nov. 30 through Sunday, Dec. 2.
