WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD COMPETES AT URI PENTATHLON
KINGSTON, R.I. - Senior Kelly Thomas (Chichester, N.H.) and junior Kaitlyn Dugan (Hatfield, Pa.) finished third and fourth, respectively, at the URI Pentathlon on Friday at the Mackal Field House.
Thomas compiled 3,213 points and finished the 55-meter hurdles in 9.11 seconds, jumped 1.53 meters in the high jump, had a throw of 9.56 meters in the shot put, recorded a leap of 4.99 meters in the long jump and ran the 800 meters in two minutes, 25.52 seconds.
Dugan, meanwhile, amassed 3,206 points as she completed the 55-meter hurdles in 9.06 seconds, had a mark of 1.56 meters in the high jump, posted a toss of 9.01 meters in the shot put, submitted a jump of 5.13 meters in the long jump and finished the 800 in 2:29.79.
The Wildcats return to action Saturday, Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. when they take part in the Jay Carisella Carnival at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston.
