TRACK & FIELD COMPETES AT HOLY CROSS DECATHLON/HEPTATHLON

WORCESTER, Mass. – The University of New Hampshire men's and women's outdoor track & field teams competed at the Holy Cross decathlon and heptathlon, respectively, April 14-15.

Senior Kelly Thomas (Chichester, N.H.) finished third for the women with 4,416 points. Thomas recorded marks of 1.57 meters in the high jump, 10.12m in the shot put, 5.14m in the long jump and 27.98m in the javelin. Thomas also put up times of 16.37 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, 27.12 in the 200m and 2:24.00 in the 800m.

Juniors Kate Early (Corning, N.Y.) and Kaitlyn Dugan (Hatfield, Pa.) placed fourth and fifth, respectively, with 4,411 and 4,307 points. Early posted marks of 1.63m in the high jump, 10.85m in the shot put, 4.93m in the long jump and 30.64m in the javelin. Early also recorded times of 15.53 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, 28.57 in the 200m and 2:32.15 in the 800m.

Dugan produced marks of 1.60 meters in the high jump, 8.52m in the shot put, 5.22m in the long jump and 23.75m in the javelin. She also finished with times of 16.00 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, 26.76 in the 200m and 2:28.39 in the 800m.

Senior Anders Nordquist (Wolfeboro, N.H.) finished sixth with 5,632 points. Nordquist submitted marks of 6.12m in the long jump, 12.71m in the shot put, 1.90m in the high jump, 32.48m in the discus, 3.10m in the pole vault and 26.65m in the javelin. He also recorded times of 11.91 in the 100m, 53.59 in the 400m, 17.91 in the 110-meter hurdles and 4:44.87 in the 1500m.

The Wildcats return to action April 16-17 at Princeton University's Larry Ellis Invitational.
