DURHAM, N.H. – Junior Megan Donohue (Stratham, N.H.) won a pair of events for the University of New Hampshire women's outdoor track and field team at the Wildcat Invitational III on April 24 at Reggie F. Atkins Track.

America East foes the University of Maine and the University of Vermont, as well as the University of Massachusetts, competed at the non-scoring meet.

Donahue was victorious in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:02.97, while freshman Lana Ciali (Lee, N.H.) was third in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.08.

Donahue also won the long jump with a leap of 5.59m. Freshman Melanie Frazier (Bridgewater, Mass.), sophomore Eliza Mackintosh (Hanover, N.H.), juniors Camille Quarles (Derry, N.H.) and Meghan McGrath (Merrimack, N.H.), sophomore Danica Goodheart (Meredith, N.H.) and senior Amanda Hutchins (Plymouth, N.H.) placed second through seventh, respectively, with marks of 5.55m, 5.45m, 5.45m, 5.40m, 5.31m and 5.27m.

Junior Allison Letourneau (Kingston, Nova Scotia) finished first in the 800 meters in a time of two minutes, 10.73 seconds. Junior Brittany Verville (Bow, N.H.) was fourth at 2:13.89.

In the 400m, juniors Chelsey Canavan (Stoneham, Mass.) and Kaitlin Kwiecien (Hampstead, N.H.) placed first and second, respectively, in times of 57.39 and 58.03.

Sophomore Elizabeth Campbell (Colonia, N.J.) won the 5000m in a time of 17:42.91. Senior Kim Povec (Holland-Patent, N.Y.) was third and crossed the finish line at 18:57.08.

In the 3000-meter steeplechase, junior Jennifer Racine (Haverhill, Mass.) and senior Emily Osgood (Wellsboro, Pa.) placed first and second, respectively, in times of 11:14.89 and 12:02.37.

The Wildcats' 4x100- and 4x400-meter relay teams finished first in respective times of 48.87 and 3:56.17.

Junior Jasmin Washington (Waltham, Mass.) placed first in the triple jump with a leap of 11.31m. Hutchins, senior Esperance Ndombe (Manchester, N.H.), freshman Christiana Pimental (Pelham, N.H.) and junior Victoria Goodheart (Meredith, N.H.) finished second through fifth, respectively, with marks of 10.83m, 10.76m, 10.42m and 10.36m.

Two days after finishing 10th at the Penn Relays, senior Rita Ciambra (Hanover, N.H.) placed second in the pole vault after clearing a height of 3.42m.

Senior Tayla Ryan (Norwood, Mass.) was second in the high jump with a mark of 1.57m.

Freshman Rosemary Read (Exeter, N.H.) placed second in the hammer throw with a toss of 48.95m.

The Wildcats return to action May 1-2 when they play host to the America East Championships at Reggie F. Atkins Track.
