DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire cross country and track & field programs announced Monday that they will host a pair of clinics for middle and high school athletes during the upcoming summer.
The UNH Distance Running Day Camp will be held for male and female athletes grades 7-12 and will include learn-by-doing instruction. The camp will be held July 25-29 from 4-7 p.m.
The UNH Track and Field Camp is for male and female athletes in grades 7-12. The learn-by-doing clinic will cover the areas of sprints, jumps, hurdles and throws. The camp will be held Aug. 1-5 from 4-7 p.m.
Pre-registration will be accepted until seven days before the start of each camp at a cost of $150. Participants can register six days or less before the start of each camp, or from 3-4 p.m. on day 1 of each camp for $175.
Both clinics will be held in the recently renovated Paul Sweet Oval, as well as the outdoor Reggie F. Atkins Track. USATF-Certified coaches Jim Boulanger, Casey Carroll and George Liset will run each clinic. Coach Boulanger is the director of the UNH track and field program and has won multiple America East Coach of the Year awards. Coach Carroll is the head coach of the UNH women's track and field program and is a multiple America East Coach of the Year winner. Coach Liset is a former head coach of the UNH women's track and field program and currently serves as an assistant coach with the team.
