Women's Track & Field Competes at ECACs, Last Chance Meet
BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Kate Early (Corning, N.Y.) finished sixth overall in the pentathlon to lead the University of New Hampshire women's indoor track & field team on the first day of the ECAC Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center on Saturday.
Early racked up 3484 total points to claim sixth place, including a third-place finish in the 800 meters in a time of 2:24.01. Early's finishes in the other four events included fourth in the high jump (5-04.25), fifth in the shot put (35-00.25), 12th in the 60-meter hurdles (9.50) and 13th in the long jump (16-05.25).
Graduate student Allison Letourneau (Kingston, Nova Scotia) and junior Keely Maguire also competed at the Columbia Last Chance Meet at the Armory in New York City on Saturday afternoon. Letourneau finished 10th in the mile in a time of 4:43.90, while Maguire placed 12th in the event in a time of 4:45.83.
The Wildcats wrap up the ECACs on Sunday at the Reggie Lewis Center.
