DURHAM, N.H. – Junior Allison Brehm (Pembroke, N.H.) won a pair of events as the University of New Hampshire women's track & field team hosted the Wildcat Invitational II on Saturday at the Reggie F. Atkins Track & Field Facility.
The University of Maine, Vermont, Dartmouth, UMass-Amherst, UMass-Lowell, Central Connecticut State and New England College also took part in the non-scoring meet.
Brehm won the 100 meters in an ECAC-qualifying time of 11.86, and with the benefit of a strong tail wind, recorded the fastest time by a UNH women's sprinter in any weather condition. Brehm also captured first-place in the 200 meters, topping the field of 19 with a time of 25.31.
Senior Danica Goodheart (Meredith, N.H.) was victorious in the triple jump with a leap of 37-10.00.
Sophomore Elise Beattie (Woodstock, Ill.) finished third in the 1,500 meters in a time of 4:44.12, while freshman Virginia Lavallee (Kingston, N.H.) was third in the 100-meter hurdles at 14.73. Freshman Gabby Mancuso (New Paltz, N.Y.) also added a third-place finish in the 5,000 meters, crossing the finish line at 18:39.14.
The Wildcats return to action on May 5-6 for the America East Outdoor Championships at the University of Maine's Beckett Track & Field Complex.
