Casey Carroll, a 1994 graduate of UNH, returns for his 15th season guiding the UNH women’s track and field Program. During his tenure, the team has steadily worked its way to the top of the America East conference, Northeast Region and beyond.

The last five years of the program have proven to be tremendously successful.  The 2011 outdoor season was historic with the Lady Wildcats winning the New England Outdoor Collegiate Track and Field Championship.  In the last five years of that championship, the program also achieved four second place finishes in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012.  In 2008, Carroll was named New England Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year.  The Lady Wildcats have also finished in the top three of the America East Championship four times with two second and two third place showings.

UNH has also shown a presence on the NCAA regional and national scene.  Over the last seven years, the team sent numerous track and field athletes to compete at the NCAA National Championships and the USATF Junior National Championships in the distance, hurdles, jumps and throws events. In the last 14 years of the men’s and women’s track and field and cross country seasons, he has been on the America East Coaching Staff of the Year 13 times. Since his arrival, the team has set new school records in 32 different indoor and outdoor events. Carroll is a USATF Level II certified coach in all track and field disciplines.

While a student at UNH, Carroll spent four years as a member of the track & field and cross country programs. A distance runner, Carroll was team captain for two years.  His senior year, Carroll was a top-10 finisher at the North Atlantic Conference Cross Country Championship and All-Conference in the 5000 meters at the outdoor Track and Field Championship. In 1998, Carroll received his Master’s of Science degree in Psychology of Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Oregon. Carroll still is a competitive runner on the roads and was the winner of the Maine Marathon in 2003, the Eastern States 20-Miler in 2007 and the Hampton Rockfest Marathon in 2010.
