UNH Women's Volleyball Rallys Past Boston College

CHESTNUT HILL, MASS. -The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team defeated Boston College in three straight games Wednesday night at Power Gym. In the third game UNH rallied back from a 11-1 deficit to close out the match in three games.

UNH had little trouble in winning the non-conference matchup, taking the match 15-11, 15-8, and 15-13. With the win, UNH moves to 10-8 on the year, while Boston College drops to 6-10.

Leading the way for the Wildcats were senior co-captains Bethany Cole (Canterbury, N.H.) and Leisha Campbell (Oswego, N.Y.) who tallied 13 and six kills respectively. Cole also had a match-high 4 total blocks, while hitting at a .571 clip. Campbell also added four blocks and nine digs in a strong defensive outing. Junior Katie Jentes (Madbury, N.H.) also had a solid night recording seven kills and nine digs.

The Wildcats return to action for their first America East match against conference rival Hofstra University on Saturday, October 9 at 1 p.m. in Hempstead, N.Y.
