New Hampshire Volleyball rolls past Maine, 3-0

ORONO, Maine - The University of New Hampshire volleyball team reached a season-high four-match win streak with Wednesday's 3-0 sweep of the University of Maine at Memorial Gymnasium.

Freshman Bonnie Wilson (Moraga, Calif.) led the way for the 'Cats with 13 kills and 12 digs. The Wildcats swept the match with game scores of 30-25, 30-26 and 30-25.

The win improves UNH's record to 13-7 and 6-2 in America East. The Black Bears drop to 10-10, 4-4 AE.

Also posting a double-double for the 'Cats was sophomore Alyson Coler (Monte Sereno, Calif.) with 11 kills and 10 digs. Coler was recently named America East Player of the Week, the third time she's won the award this season.

Freshman Kerin Mackanin (Bartlett, Ill.) continued her strong play at the setter position with 34 assists and five kills on just seven attack attempts. Freshman Jen Williams (Mountain View, Calif.) had a match-high 13 digs for the Wildcats.

Leah Voss posted 14 kills and Marina Ivankovic had 12 digs for the Black Bears.

New Hampshire returns to action on Oct. 27 at first-place and undefeated Towson University. The Wildcats currently stand in third with six matches to go before the America East Championship .
