New Hampshire volleyball downs Boston College

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass - Junior outside hitter Alyson Coler (Monte Sereno, Calif.) registered 20 kills to lead the University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team to Wednesday night's 3-1 victory over Boston College at Power Gym. The game scores were 30-27, 30-32, 30-26, 34-32. The Wildcats record now stands at 10-9 and are in the midst of a season-high five match win streak.

Coler's 10th kill was the 1,000th of her career and she is the third Wildcat in school history to accomplish that feat. Coler also added 22 digs, while senior co-captain Lauren Knight (Centerville, Mass.) paced the Wildcats with a match-high 21 kills, 13 digs and a .262 hitting percentage. Junior co-captain Sasha Scott (North Branford, Conn.) tied a career high with 28 digs, while junior setter Erin Ludwig (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) quarterbacked the 'Cat attack with 56 helpers. Freshman middle hitter Karen Harrington (Windham, N.H.) added six kills, a match-high nine blocks and a .313 hitting percentage.

The Wildcats return to action with a home match Oct. 11 vs. Hartford. Match time at Lundholm Gymnasium is 7 p.m.
