BERKELEY, Calif. -The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team lost in three straight games on Saturday night to the University of Nevada on the final day of the Golden Bear Invitational. The game scores were 30-27, 31-29, 30-26.
The Wildcats placed fourth in the tournament with a 0-3 record and with the loss drop to 3-7 on the season, while Nevada improves its record to 5-6 this year.
Senior outside hitter Alyson Coler (Monte Sereno, Calif.) once again led the Wildcats offense with a match-high 11 kills and nine digs. Junior middle hitter Natasha Otte (Plymouth, N.H.) tallied nine kills, which was second best on the 'Cats roster and sophomore middle hitter Karen Harrington (Windham, N.H.) registered five blocks and four kills.
Sophomore defensive specialist Jen Williams (Mountain View, Calif.) led UNH with a team-high 10 digs, while senior setter Anne Davis (Groveland, Ill.) ran the 'Cat attack with 30 assists and added six kills and a .455 hitting percentage.
The UNH volleyball team returns to action on Sept. 19 vs. Rhode Island in opening day action of the UNH Tournament. Start time at Lundholm Gymnasium is 7 p.m.
