DURHAM, N.H.- The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team evened its record to 9-9 with a 3-1 victory against Harvard University on Tuesday night at Lundholm Gymnasium. The game scores were 30-23, 30-23, 28-30 and 30-24.
The Wildcats played best in the first match with 19 kills and a .333 hitting percentage, while Harvard (2-9) was down 23-28 in third game and rallied back to win on the strong serving of Nilly Schweitzer.
Sophomore outside hitter Erin Walker (Fulton, N.Y.) registered a match-high 20 kills and hit at a .474 clip, while adding 10 digs. Junior middle hitter Natasha Otte (Plymouth, N.H.) tallied 15 kills, a .424 hitting percentage and five total blocks.
Senior setter Anne Davis (Groveland, Ill.) tallied 45 assists and nine digs running the 'Cat attack, while senior libero Sasha Scott (North Branford, Conn.) posted a match-high 16 digs in the win.
Schweitzer led the Crimson with 11 kills and 10 digs.
The Wildcats open their America East conference schedule on Tuesday, Oct. 7 vs. the University of Maine. Match time is 7 p.m. at Lundholm Gym.
