Wildcat volleyball downed by Boston College, 3-1

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.-- The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team lost to Big East foe Boston College, 3-1 on Tuesday night at Power Gym. The game scores were 26-30, 30-28, 16-30 and 27-30.

Freshman outside hitter Emmy Blouin (St. Albert, Alb.) continued her strong play recently with a career-high 16 kills and eight digs on the night. Junior outside hitter Erin Walker (Fulton, N.Y.) registered eight kills and 10 digs, while senior co-captain Natasha Otte (Plymouth, N.H.) recorded 10 kills and an impressive .562 hitting percentage, which was a match-high.

Junior middle hitter Karen Harington (Windham, N.H.) posted seven kills and three blocks. Sophomore setter Katie Weidner (Warrenville, Ill.) amassed 26 assists running the 'Cat attack and senior libero Jen Williams (Mountain View, Calif.) finished with a team-high 13 digs in the loss to the Eagles.

The Wildcats (4-11 overall) return to action on Tuesday, October 5th to take on conference rival Maine in the America East opener in Orono (7 p.m.).
