VESTAL, N.Y.-- The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team won its first conference match of the season with a 3-1 win over Binghamton University on Saturday afternoon at West Gym. The game scores were 30-25, 26-30, 30-19 and 30-27.

Senior libero Jen Williams (Mountain View, Calif.) recorded 23 digs vs. the Bearcats and she became UNH's all-time dig leader with 1,243 digs in her Wildcat career, eclipsing the mark set by former Wildcat Alyson Coler (1,231).

Junior outside hitter Erin Walker (Fulton, N.Y.) led the Wildcats with a match-high 17 kills and five service aces. Freshman outside hitter Emmy Blouin (St. Albert, Alb.) continued her strong play with 14 kills and seven digs.

Freshman outside hitter Toni Barnas (Cary, Ill.) registered 11 kills and a .227 hitting percentage, while sophomore setter Katie Weidner (Warrenville, Ill.) ran the Wildcat attack, notching six kills, 44 assists and 13 digs in the victory for UNH.

The Wildcats (5-14 overall, 1-3 AE) return to action at Albany on Sunday, Oct. 17th (4 p.m.). UNH's next home match is Friday, Oct. 22 vs. Hartford. Match time at Lundholm Gym is 7 p.m. The match can be heard live on the radio on the UNH Sports Network, tune into the match on the seacoast to WTSN Radio (1270 AM).
