UNH volleyball downed by Stony Brook, 3-0

STONY BROOK, N.Y.-- The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team was defeated by Stony Brook University, 3-0, on Friday night at the Stony Brook Sports Complex. The games scores were 23-30, 19-30 and 18-30.

The Wildcats were paced by freshman outside hitter Toni Barnas (Cary, Ill.), senior co-captain Natasha Otte (Plymouth, N.H.) and junior outside hitter Erin Walker (Fulton, N.Y.) who each registered eight kills. Barnas also added an impressive .304 hitting percentage, while sophomore setter Katie Weidner (Warrenville, Ill.) posted 21 assists running the Wildcat attack.

Senior libero Jen Williams (Mountain View, Calif.) finished the match with a team-high 16 digs.

The UNH volleyball team (6-18 overall, 2-7 America East) returns to action Saturday, October 30th at Maryland-Baltimore County (7 p.m.)
