KINGSTON, R.I. - The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team played in its second tournament of the spring season at the University of Rhode Island. The Wildcats owned a 5-5 record during 10 games of the tournament.
UNH split with Fairfield (23-30, 32-30), Rhode Island (28-30, 30-25) and Providence (30-32, 30-18). The Wildcats won both games against Brown (30-28, 30-28) and lost a pair to Northeastern (28-30, 19-30).
Junior outside hitter Sarah Rehn (Oceanside, Calif.) paced the Wildcat offensive attack with 46 kills, while sophomore outside hitter Toni Barnas (Cary, Ill.) registered 41 digs on the defensive side of the ball. Sophomore middle blocker Jess Compton (Woodridge, Ill.) tallied a team-high 22 total blocks in the tournament. Sophomore outside hitter Emmy Blouin (St. Albert, Alberta) led the team with a .286 hitting percentage over the weekend. Freshman setter Lucia Bridova (Bratislava, Slovakia) quarterbacked UNH's offense recording 103 assists.
