DURHAM, N.H. - Jess Thomas recorded a match-high 26 kills to lead the Dartmouth College Big Green to a 3-2 win against the University of New Hampshire in women's volleyball action on Tuesday night at Lundholm Gym. The game scores 28-30, 32-30, 27-30, 30-26 and 13-15.
With the loss the Wildcats drop to 2-12 on the season, while Dartmouth upped its record to 5-3 on the season.
Senior captain Erin Walker (Fulton, N.Y.) paced the Wildcats with a team-high 23 kills, which tied a career-high and hit for an impressive .455 hitting percentage. Freshman Caitlin Dowd (Portsmouth, N.H.) continued her strong play in her first season with 13 kills and a .200 hitting percentage. Sophomore Emmy Blouin (St. Albert, Alberta) chipped in with 11 kills in the losing cause.
Junior Sarah Rehn (Oceanside, Calif.) and freshman Lucia Bridova (Bratislava, Slovakia) split time at setter with 31 and 19 helpers respectively.
The Wildcat volleyball team returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at Harvard (7 p.m.).
