Wildcat volleyball defeated by Albany, 3-0

DURHAM, N.H.-- The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball was defeated by the University at Albany, 3-0 on Friday night at Lundholm Gymnasium. The game scores were 30-19, 30-18, 30-19.

Senior captain Erin Walker (Fulton, N.Y.) led the Wildcats with nine kills on the night, while freshman outside hitter Caitlin Dowd (Portsmouth, N.H.) chipped in with eight kills and a team-high eight digs in the losing cause.

Freshman Lucia Bridova (Bratislava, Slovakia) ran the Wildcat offense posting 22 helpers.

The Great Danes upped their record to 15-2 (2-0 AE) with the win, while the 'Cats dropped to 3-15 on the season and 0-3 in America East play.

The UNH volleyball team returns to action on Friday, Oct. 14 with Maryland- Baltimore County on homecoming weekend. Match time is 5 p.m. at Lundholm Gym.
