BOSTON – Freshman setter Kate Uitti (Pinckney, Mich.) of the University of New Hampshire women’s volleyball team was named Setter of the Week for the first time in her Wildcat career by America East conference which was announced on Monday afternoon.
    Uitti registered 92 assists and 16 digs on the week, averaging 13.14 assists per game in two matches last week. She notched a career-high 53 assists and added seven digs in the 3-1 loss to Binghamton on Sunday. UNH’s starting setter also totaled 39 assists and nine digs in the 3-0 win against Central Connecticut on Friday night.

    She currently leads the team in assists with 419, averaging 9.52 assists per game.  Uitti also ranks fourth on the team in digs with 91. Her assists per game total is fifth best among America East setters, while in conference games her per game total ranks second on the conference statistical leaderboard.
    The ‘Cats (5-13 overall, 0-3 America East) return to the court on Friday, Oct. 13 at Maryland-Baltimore County. Match time is 4:30 p.m. at RAC Arena in Baltimore, Md. The Wildcats next match at Lundholm Gym is Sunday, Oct. 15 vs. Albany. Match time is 1 p.m.
