WEST HARTFORD, CONN. – Junior outside hitter Emmy Blouin (St. Albert, Alberta) of the University of New Hampshire volleyball team registered 23 kills on Friday night in the 3-2 win over Hartford at the Sports Center. The game scores were 28-30, 30-15, 24-30, 30-28 and 15-11.
    The Wildcats improve to 9-15 overall and 4-5 in America East action, while Hartford drops to 8-18 and 0-10 in league play.
    Senior co-captain Sarah Rehn (Oceanside, Calif.) totaled 16 kills and a team-high 18 digs in a solid all-around effort, while freshman outside hitter Kirsten Bates (Calgary, Alberta) totaled 13 kills and 12 digs in the victory for the Wildcats. Junior middle blocker Jess Compton (Woodridge, Ill.) and Lindsay Fogarty (Pleasanton, Calif.) each posted six kills and they recorded five and four blocks on the defensive side. Fogarty also hit at a team-high .385 clip.
    Freshman setter Kate Uitti (Pinckney, Mich.) amassed 52 assists running the ‘Cat attack, while libero Alyse Lahti (Pepper Pike, Ohio) finished the match with 17 digs.
    The Wildcats totaled a game-high 18 kills in Game 1, while they posted a .476 hitting percentage in Game 2 with 12 kills.
    UNH returns to action at home on Sunday, Nov. 5 against conference rival University of Maine. Match time is 1 p.m. at Lundholm Gymnasium.
