WILDCAT VOLLEYBALL HOSTS: SPRING TOURNAMENT, TREE CEREMONY FOR HOLLY YOUNG, END OF YEAR BANQUET
DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team has a full slate of activities planned for Saturday, April 19. The day will including a spring tournament, a ceremonial tree planting and the annual end of year banquet.

The day begins with the team playing host to some of New England’s elite volleyball programs including Boston College, Rhode Island, Maine, Harvard, Dartmouth and a UNH alumni team. The tournament will start at 9 a.m. with UNH squaring off against the UNH alumni at Lundholm Gymnasium.

At the conclusion of the tournament, a tree will be planted in the University’s Memory Walk just outside the Field House to honor the memory of former player Holly Young. Young lost her battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, in January.

The day will conclude with the annual awards banquet. The banquet is held annually to honor the accomplishments of its seniors and other award recipients.
