BOSTON -- The University of New Hampshire volleyball team competed at the Northeastern Tournament, on Saturday at Solomon Court. The Wildcats went 4-8 on the day with a sweep of Boston College and splits with Holy Cross (1-1) and Northeastern (1-1). UNH dropped two games with UConn, Maine and a Northeastern alumni team.

The Wildcats opened the day with split with Northeastern (25-22, 17-25) and Holy Cross (25-23, 19-25). UNH rattled off a pair of wins over Boston College (25-18, 25-16), before dropping the final six games of the day to a Northeastern Alumni team (13-25, 22-25), UConn (22-25, 18-25) and Maine (22-25, 20-25).

Sophomore middle blocker Lindsay Fogarty (Pleasanton, Calif.) lead the Wildcat offense with 35 kills and a pair of blocks.

Freshman setter Sara Heldman (Greenwood, Ind.) finished the day with 60 assists and 24 digs running the ‘Cats offense, while classmate Jayde Huxtable (St. Charles, Ill.) recorded 30 digs and had three service aces.

The Wildcat volleyball returns to action on April 12 when they host their spring tournament on Saturday, April 19 on the UNH campus. Please check back to www.unhwildcats.com for more information on the tournament.
