DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire’s Catherine Parker (Westford, Mass.) placed first in 17 minutes, 35 seconds, which equaled the third fastest time on the home course, but Providence College notched the team victory, defeating UNH by a score of 38-21.
A quartet of Friars followed closely behind Parker to claim the next four spots until UNH senior co-captain Emily Mareb (Great Barrington, Mass.) crossed the finish line (18:13) for sixth overall. Senior Ashley Vance (Manchester, N.H.) placed ninth (19:18) and freshman Emily Osgood (Wellsborro, Pa.) rounded out the top 10 (19:49).
The wildcats will be back in action on September 15 when they compete in the America East Pre-Meet held at the University of Maine. The women’s race will start at 3:00 p.m.
