WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RANKED 10TH IN NORTHEAST
DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's cross country team dropped one spot to No. 10 in this week's Northeast Region Poll – the final poll before NCAA Regionals – that was released Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
UNH, which was ranked ninth for three consecutive polls, turned in a second-place performance at the America East Championships on Oct. 31 at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. All-Conference seniors Sydney Fitzpatrick (Billerica, Mass.) and Erica Jesseman (Scarborough, Maine) led the way as they finished sixth and 10th, respectively, in times of 17 minutes, 36.19 seconds and 17:54.51.
New Hampshire is ranked second highest of the three America East teams in this week's poll.
The Wildcats return to action Saturday, Nov. 13 at the NCAA East Regional at Hammonasset State Park in Madison, Conn.
